Mill Workers support fellow workers in the spirit of community

This is an amazingly heartwarming story about the fate of the mill workers in the small New Zealand town of Putaruru. The timber mill, being the lifeblood of the town, closes as Christmas approaches.
The nearby town of Tokoroa, also a mill town, jumps in.
The mill workers in Tokora agree to work less hours and take a $200 pay cut in order to create enough jobs to employ the redundant workers from Putaruru. All 109 workers from Putaruru have found themselves new jobs and by pulling together the local community is stronger than ever.

Wow...
